As you can see, this event will be divided into three phases that will take you in a series of training through Dragonspine Mountain.
Dragonspine Special Training
Here, players will find take part in different types of training while exploring the mountain as they defeat hordes of enemies and track objectives in order to complete the challenges.
This training will help you perfect your parkour skills, as you must proceed down the race tracks found around the mountain. There are a total of four race tracks available on the map.
As soon as you begin the race track training by activating a special mechanism, you must follow the checkpoints to proceed while you collect Insignias of Adventure and Insignias of Conquest. Some Insignias of Adventure will be hidden in parts of the race track, while Insignias of Conquest only appear at certain times.
The number of points you score will be based on the amount of time consumed and the number of insignias you obtained during the training.
To help you with this task, special Blessings will appear while you race. Galespring Blessings will enhance your character's jumping power, while Ironskin Blessings will allow your character to shatter the ice pillars around them.
After completing each of the race tracks and based on the points you got, you will receive Primogems, Mora, Mystic Enhancement Ores, and Snowstrider Emblems.
For this event, you must find and melt all the Ice Crystal Piles within the training area, to complete each of the eight tracking sessions available.
Melting certain Ice Crystal Piles will also allow you to find Snowman Components, which will be used in another of the event’s phases.
You will obtain at least one of every Component type if you complete all the Tracker Training sessions, along with some Primogems, Mora, and Snowstrider Emblems.
Last but not least, you will have to fight against mob camps in this training. To kick off these combat sessions, you must interact will a special kind of Lures you will find in eight different camps at Dragonspine.
These Lures will have two modes starting with the "Source Cold" one, which will emanate cold air that increases the rate at which Sheer Cold will accumulate on your characters, and gives nearby opponents a Cryo Buff at fixed intervals, increasing their offensive power and survivability.
You will be able to change the Lure's mode to “Heat Source” by activating certain mechanisms nearby using Scarlet Quartz in a specific order.
This will allow your characters to restore a certain amount of Energy at fixed intervals, cancel the accumulation of Sheer Cold, and deal AoE DMG to opponents while carrying Scarlet Quartz. While in the training, some monsters will also drop Scarlet Quartz.
By defeating each of the camps, you will receive Primogems, Mora, Snowstrider Emblems, and Snowman Heads.
Born of the Snow
Following all of the Training above, you will be able to use the Snowman Components and Heads you collected to make Puffy Snowmen in your camp.
These Components include:
- Snowman Heads
- Snowman Hands
- Snowman Hats
- Snowman Eyes
- Snowman Noses
- Snowman Scarfs
Once you complete several Puffy Snowmen, you will have the chance to get more Primogems, Mora, Snowman Torso, and the featured weapon of the event, the Cinnabar Spindle sword.
In addition, during and after the event, you will be able to bring Snowman Torsos and Components you have obtained to your Serenitea Pot to make Puffy Snowmen, perfect for this winter season.
The last phase of the event includes a mysterious challenge, which you can unlock after finishing the "Shadows Amidst Snowstorms" Act II: The Shadows Deepen.
In this challenge, you will find a strange substance called Arcane Essence around Dragonspine, hidden inside a floating artifact called BOSS. After the BOSS summons Arcane Fruits, the character will have to attack them to eject them back to the BOSS, causing a shock to it that will release the Arcane Essence.
When you pick up Arcane Essence, you will stop the BOSS from regenerating its shield. However, after picking it up, characters on the field will lose HP continuously for a brief period of time.
After picking up all of the Arcane Essence, the size of the BOSS will become smaller, making it easier to be defeated.
Completing this challenge will reward you with some Mora, Hero’s Wit, and Mysterious Emblems.
