Genshin Impact patch 2.8 arrived on 13th July 2022 with new content, events, stories, and many more approaching goodies to unravel. Another feature leaving Travelers feeling giddy and excited is the returning islands of the Golden Apple Archipelago in Genshin Impact.

The summer islands reappear again, so don't miss out on the juicy rewards and scenic views the chain of islands entails, not to mention many goodies and new challenges to conquer. This guide will detail how you can unlock the Golden Apple Archipelago in Genshin Impact and embark on a Summertime adventure while surfing some waves or crashing against the sand.

Genshin Impact - How To Unlock Golden Apple Archipelago

There are quite a few requirements to meet before accessing the Golden Apple Archipelago in Genshin Impact. If you’re a newcomer, you’ll need to grind as fast as possible and reach these specific needs.

To start, you’ll first need to complete the Summertime Odyssey: I Quest to make it to the Golden Apple Archipelago. But to even accomplish this feat, you’ll need to reach Adventure Rank Level 32 and complete a couple of essential quests.

• Genshin Impact 2.8 Phase I Events - Free Fischl Outfit, Primogems, More

Here are the tasks you’ll need to do in Genshin Impact before unlocking the Golden Apple Archipelago:

• Reach Adventure Level 32 or above

• Complete Chapter 2: Prologue Archon Quest - Autumn Winds, Scarlet Leaves

• Complete Mona’s Story Quest  (Astralabos Chapter: Act I - Beyond The World’s Stars)

Once you’ve reached these requirements, feel free to participate in the Golden Apple Archipelago events throughout the islands. You’ll find free materials, Primogems, and even acquire Fischl and her costume.

These are all the events with the rewards, challenges, and quests you can hunt down and complete:

• Summertime Odyssey features a series of Phantom Realm and Waverider challenges taking you across the waters and islands. These challenges reward Primogems and Iridescent Flotsam that’s exchangeable for a free Fischl.

• Reminiscent Regimen is a co-op event you can tackle with your friends.

• Resonating Visions features a new Fischl outfit wherein you’ll need to collect Phantasmal Conches and exchange them for the cosmetic.

The Golden Apple Archipelago officially opens to Travelers on 15th July 2022 at 10 am. If you haven’t reached any of the requirements, Traveler, rush quickly as the Golden Apple Archipelago event period ends 24th August 2022 alongside patch 2.8.

Afterward, the islands most likely won’t be back until next Summer, the following year.
