Lilypichu officially revealed as the voice of Sayu in Genshin Impact

The reveal of the v2.0 update of Genshin Impact, titled “The Immovable God and the Ethernal Euthymia”, has given players many surprises and new content to digest that will all arrive in just a couple of weeks. The biggest news has come from the new characters that inhabit the island of Inzamuna, the game's newest region.

Featured as part of this update we have the long-awaited Kamisato Ayaka, the daughter of the Yashiro Commission’s Kamisato Clan, Yoimiya, a skilled pyrotechnician and owner of Naganohara Fireworks, and last but not least, Sayu, a ninja from the Shiyuumatsu-Ban who mostly uses her hard-earned skills to slack off.

Viewers also may have heard a familiar voice during Sayu’s spotlight, and miHoYo has now confirmed her voice lines will be performed by none other than Lily “Lilypichu” Ki, the popular Twitch streamer and member of the OfflineTV group.

Lilypichu’s turn in Genshin Impact shouldn't come as a huge surprise, as she has previously voiced characters for other games and even some anime series, and she is known to be a fan of the game.

It will mark just another reason to play with Sayu, who while not yet in the game has quickly become a popular character. with players desperate to learn more about this sleepy (and small) hero.

As it stands, Lily hasn’t made any statement about her role in Genshin Impact, though we will be sure to update this article if she does.

Sayu will be available along with Yoimiya within the banner “Tapestry of Golden Flames” of the update 2.0 of Genshin Impact, starting on 10th August, 2021.
