Genshin Impact Vivianne of the Lake Location & How To Beat

Even for the veteran Genshin Impact players, Vivianne can be hard to defeat, as this boss is one of the few local legends of Fontaine. In case you weren't aware, Vivianne of the Lake is a hidden boss introduced as a part of the Genshin Impact 4.0 update.

However, it seems like many players are having a hard time defeating Vivianne of the Lake, as it deals significant damage and can easily knock down one of your characters. So if you want to challenge this new enemy, here's how to find and beat Vivianne of the Lake in Genshin Impact.

Vivianne of the Lake can be found near the Court of Fontaine in Genshin Impact. To locate it, you’ll need to teleport to either the Echoes of the Deep Tides domain or the highest Teleport Waypoint in the Court of Fontaine and head north. Then look for a hill decorated with trees and rocks, and you should be able to spot Vivianne of the Lake.

How To Beat Vivianne of the Lake

Vivianne of the Lake is a powerful Hydro Phantasm that can deal heavy Hydro damage with its attacks. The enemy has two primary attacks - a Water Cannon and a Water Laser. The Water Cannon is a short-range attack that shoots a stream of water at you, whereas the Water Laser is a long-range attack that fires a beam of water that sweeps across the area.

To defeat Vivianne’s challenge, bringing along a healer or shielder such as Zhongli is recommended to defend your party against its critical attacks. Furthermore, be prepared to evade or erect defenses when faced with its Water Cannon or Water Laser, as these maneuvers can prove difficult to dodge.

You can also bring Electro or Cryo characters that can trigger Superconduct and weaken Vivianne’s defenses effectively, while utilizing Pyro characters may induce Vaporize reactions for intensified damage output. You can also utilize characters with Anemo abilities to combine their powers with the Hydro element, resulting in reactions.

After defeating Vivianne of the Lake, you will be rewarded with an achievement called “The Legend of Vivianne,” as well as receive valuable items such as Mora, Hero’s Wit, Mystic Enhancement Ore, and Hydro Sigils.
