God Of War: Ragnarok PC Requirements: Minimum, Recommended Specs

This guide will break down the PC requirements we expect to see for God of War Ragnarok when it releases on PC.
God Of War: Ragnarok PC Requirements: Minimum, Recommended Specs

After its massively successful release in November of 2022, God of War: Ragnarok more than delivered as a sequel to the first game, and naturally many are wondering if the sequel will be coming to PC and what to expect once it (likely) does. Given the game's visual fidelity and performance demands on the PS5, one question you may have is what the PC requirement for the game may look like.

Well, wonder no more, as this guide has you covered. Below we will take an in-depth look at what we and others expect the PC system requirements for God of War: Ragnarok will be upon its release, and how it may affect your pocket down the line.

God Of War: Ragnarok PC Requirements

As mentioned previously, based on what we know so far, it's highly likely that God of War: Ragnarok will be coming to PC at some point in the future. And while we don't know exactly when this could be, we do have an idea of what it would demand from your PC.

So to give you a high-level overview of the expected performance demands, below we've listed the minimum and recommended PC requirements for God of War: Ragnarok when it inevitably releases on PC.

Minimum Requirements

  • RAM - 8 GB (DDR4)
  • Disk Space - 70 GB
  • CPU - Intel Core i5-4670 or Ryzen 5 1600
  • GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 580
  • Operating System - Windows 10 64 bit

Recommended Requirements

  • RAM - 16 GB (DDR4)
  • Disk Space - 110 GB
  • CPU - Intel Core i5-6600K or Ryzen 5 2600X
  • GPU - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or Radeon RX 5700 XT
  • Operating System - Windows 10 64 bit

Cutting to brass tacks here, the main dent in your budget will likely come from the GPU choice for the game, and the reason behind this choice relates to the GPU utilized in the PlayStation 5, which is based on the AMD Radeon™ RDNA 2 architecture.

The GPU in the PS5 bears similarities to the RX5700 XT from AMD, which was released in 2019. Additionally, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, which was also released in the same year, offers comparable performance to the RX5700 XT, albeit at a potentially lower cost.

Given that nearly 8 months have passed since the game's release, it is reasonable to assume that Sony has already initiated the process of creating a PC version. Naturally, the developers have also gained valuable experience from their previous work on porting God of War (2018) to PC, so it all pretty much points to a release on PC coming sooner rather than later.

And when it does release, you'll be all set in knowing the PC requirements for the game as we've provided you the baseline above. As always, once we get the official requirements from the devs, we'll update this listing accordingly.
