Gran Turismo 7 starter car - Which one to choose?

Gran Turismo 7 is live as Polyphony Digital brings the next generation of their world-famous racing franchise. Marking the 25th anniversary since the title first debuted on PlayStation, GT7 and its lifecycle will undoubtedly be a remarkable period for the Gran Turismo franchise.

Game developers have taken every precaution to provide a top-quality product to the player base, and the results of Gran Turismo 7 look to be promising. With an expansive car list featuring over 400 automobiles that players can choose from, it's safe to say GT7 will contain endless hours of racing content.

Of course, players won't have access to all the top vehicles when first starting the game. So here is a detailed guide helping you select the best Gran Turismo 7 starter car.

What is the best Gran Turismo 7 starter car?

The opening stages of the campaign mode in Gran Turismo 7 will have players acquire their first set of wheels from the three starter cars list. Starter cars vary in price and ability and provide different strengths and weaknesses.

It's a critical decision to get right, as players likely won't have many spare credits to spend in the game's early stages. So picking the best starter car can help get the campaign mode up and running in the right direction.

Here are the three starter cars players can select from:

  • Honda Fit Hybrid '14
  • Toyota Aqua S '11
  • Mazda Demio XD Touring '15

Out of the three options to choose from, the Toyota Aqua S '11 is the best starter car for Gran Turismo 7. While neither starter cars are burners, they are ultra-affordable (players begin with 20,000 credits).

For only 14,300 credits, the Toyota Aqua S '11 offers the most speed of the starter cars at 355.6 pp. The Honda Fit Hybrid comes in at 343 pp, and the Mazda Demio offers 322.2 pp.

Notably, players will only need to use the Toyota Aqua S '11 for the first few races before accessing higher-performance vehicles. For a visual guide browsing through the starter cars and highlighting why the Aqua S '11 is the best option, check out this video from Brayzon2.
