GTA Online Los Santos Drug Wars DLC Release Date Confirmed

Rockstar Games have officially announced its newest major content update to Grand Theft Auto (GTA) Online. In a blog post on 8 December 2022, the developers unveiled a brand-new DLC: Los Santos Drug Wars, which promises to introduce "a new psychoactive strain of chaos into GTA Online" spanning all major gameplay platforms: PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC.

"Head straight to Blaine County and join up with old pal Nervous Ron and a new band of out-of-state misfits on a mission to put their stamp on the Los Santos psychedelics trade," the developers wrote. The GTA Online: Los Santos Drug Wars DLC will comprise a two-part story update, with the opening chapter launching on 13 December 2022.

Accordingly, the first chapter of the update will see GTA Online players fight off "an unlikely coalition of wealthy hippies and trigger-happy bikers," all while Breaking Bad by cooking up batches of potent hallucinogenics (which, as the DLC's name implies, should not be surprising).

In addition, the Los Santos Drug Wars DLC will feature "a range of wild side effects, including a new business enterprise to operate, new vehicles and missions, and experiential upgrades." But that's not all. The second chapter will introduce even more exciting activities. "Be prepared for lots more exciting events, including some jolly holiday hijinks, significant story, and gameplay updates, and much more to come," Rockstar concluded.
