Halo Infinite Mister Chief bundle slammed by fans: "This is absurd"

While developer 343 Industries continues to make improvements to Halo Infinite's multiplayer, it hasn't been all sunshine and Forerunners. Since the multiplayer beta launch, fans have been disappointed with the slow-progressing battle pass, the state of microtransactions and while 343 Industries have made some good changes, another move involving the unofficial Halo mascot, Mister Chief, has now materialized.

On 28th December 2021, as the final in-game store update, 343 Industries released the Mister Chief AI bundle. This bundle only includes a few items, and to get it, players will need to spend 2,000 Credits. 

While the iconic Mister Chief is something that might lure players to open their wallets, others are slamming 343 Industries for this price tag.

Fans slam Halo Infinite Mister Chief AI bundle

The Mister Chief bundle in Halo Infinite includes the Mystery Mister Legendary AI colour, the AI model, a rare weapon charm, an emblem and an Epic Nameplate.

No, there are no voice lines from Nick Offerman, which is very disappointing for many fans.

Fans are slamming Halo Infinite's Mister Chief AI bundle both for the price and the lack of Nick Offerman's voice.

2,000 credits will set you back roughly $20. This is being called "absurd" by fans, noting how it is extremely pricy for what you get in the package.

One fan on Reddit states: "They must be taking the piss. I’m not even annoyed this time. I’m just in complete disbelief. My god, this is absurd."

Others compare this microtransaction to the Elder Scrolls: Oblivion horse armour fiasco. Check out some comments below.

At the time of writing, 343 Industries have not made an official comment on this high price tag for the Mister Chief AI bundle in Halo Infinite. It remains to be seen if the developer will continue with these high-price bundles.
