Halo Infinite Season 2 unlock time, maintenance, more

Halo Infinite multiplayer has needed a major game update for a while, and 343 is finally all set to deliver that in the game's Season 2 Lone Wolves. Halo Infinite Season 2 will add new multiplayer maps, new gameplay modes, campaign co-op, and more.

As you would expect, Halo Infinite's multiplayer will enter maintenance before the launch of Season 2. Thankfully, 343 Industries has explicitly mentioned ahead of the update exactly when the downtime will begin, and when you will be able to access Halo Infinite's Season 2 offerings. 

When will Halo Infinite Season 2 unlock?

The downtime for Season 2 will begin at 10 AM PT / 6 PM BST on 3rd May 2022. During this time, you won't be able to access Halo Infinite's multiplayer, academy, and customization. You can still play the game's campaign mode if you want. 

Halo Infinite Season 2 will unlock at 11 AM PT / 7 PM BST on 3rd May 2022. At the time of this writing, 343 hasn't announced at what time Season 2 content will go live on all platforms.

Like with most live-service titles, you may expect a queue at launch though 343 has yet to mention how it's planning to combat such a situation, if at all. 

Will Halo Infinite Season 1 battle pass expire after the launch of Season 2?

Thankfully, the battle pass in Halo Infinite never expires, so if you own the premium Season 1 battle pass and haven't unlocked all the rewards yet, you can do so in Season 2.

Also, Halo Infinite Season 2 battle pass seems like a massive improvement over Season 1 in terms of both free and premium rewards.

Purchasing the premium Season 2 battle pass also allows you to earn up to 1000 in-game credits that you can use to buy cosmetic items from the item shop.
