How to play Fiesta Halo Infinite

Fiesta is a new hybrid game mode in Halo Infinite, and here’s how it functions.
How to play Fiesta Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite's multiplayer was released last week, and response-wise it's been a mixed bag. While fans appreciate the polished gameplay and the well-designed maps, the battle pass and progression has received quite the backlash.

Alongside fixing some of the issues, 343 Industries has also launched the Fracture: Tenrai event, which has its own event pass for players to pursue. Alongside adding this 30-tier event pass, the Fracture: Tenrai event also added a new game mode Fiesta. Here's how it functions.

Fiesta is a hybrid Slayer game mode played on one of the seven Arena Halo Infinite maps and with random load-outs. It's a chaotic Arena experience in which seemingly anything goes. The Fiesta game mode appears in the multiplayer section of Halo Infinite above the quick play option. Alongside ranked arena and quick play, it's the only other way to currently play Arena in Halo Infinite.

Playing Fiesta in Halo Infinite is crucial for progressing the event pass released with the Fracture: Tenrai event. This event pass boasts 30 rewards, including the highly anticipated Yoroi Samurai armour core. Most event challenges are also tied to the Fiesta game mode, which makes it an even more crucial addition for players seeking to unlock these new limited-time rewards.

While progression in Halo Infinite remains a slow burn, offering a mere 50 XP for completing a single match, these event challenges become all the more important for players to pursue with their more reasonable offering of 200-300 XP each. Given how Fracture: Tenrai is a limited-time event, there's a possibility that Fiesta is also a temporary mode available only during this period, and as such, a temporary solution for players to boost their progression and earn those rewards.

For the ones that are unaware, the Fracture: Tenrai event runs from 23rd November to 30th November. It will return from 4th January 2022 to 10th January 2022, and again from 1st February 2022 to 7th February 2022.
