The Interference event has been going on since the start of Halo Infinite Season 2 in early May. As each week goes on, new components are added during the event, and the Ice Unicorn reward is the latest in a decent list of cosmetics to earn.
This isn't the first time that the Ice Unicorn reward has appeared in Halo Infinite. Community events in the past have made it available like it is today, but earning it is a lucky endeavor. While it's technically possible to earn the reward at any time, play dates give players the best chance at it.
How to earn the Ice Unicorn reward in Halo Infinite Interference event
The Ice Unicorn reward in Halo Infinite is an emblem that you can place on any of your customizable weapons. It's a Legendary rarity emblem, which is reserved for rewards that are typically the hardest to obtain or are the most expensive to purchase.
What makes the Ice Unicorn so rare, even in the Interference event, is the lack of overall access. Players can't earn it through the Battle Pass, weekly challenges, or even through the store. Instead, you will need plenty of luck in finding a 343 Industries developer.

Matching with a 343 Industries developer in normal matchmaking will automatically reward you with the unicorn, but on a normal day, the odds of that happening are next to zero. But there are certain days when the developers come together to increase those odds.
These are known as Community Playdates, and the latest one is happening on 13th May as a kickoff to the Interference Season 2 event. Starting at 3 pm ET (8 pm GMT), 343 Industries developers will jump into normal matchmaking. Anyone in the community can attempt to play at the same time, and if they are lucky enough to get in the same game, the emblem is theirs.
Where to watch the Community Playdate - Halo Infinite Season 2
Anytime the Community Playdates go live, the event is also broadcast so that the playerbase can keep up with what's happening. These streams will allow at least a small window into the best times to queue up for a match against 343 Industries.
The stream will be live on Twitch and YouTube at the same time. On both websites, their channel is simply "Halo" and finding them should be incredibly fast. But their links are also added in the lines above.
