D.Mon’s MEKA stands in a damaged Busan hangar for the Overwatch Season 4 update

Busan’s getting a glow-up and a new defender all at once. Overwatch’s Season 4 update, Reign of Talon – Heroes of Busan, officially launches on August 11, bringing MEKA Squad pilot D.Mon to the Tank roster, a reworked Battle Pass, and three refreshed maps. According to Blizzard’s official Season 4 announcement, the Junkers and Talon are both descending on Busan, and the MEKA base is right in the crossfire.

Here’s everything landing in the game when the update drops on August 11.

New Hero: D.Mon

  • Former pro gamer Yuna Lee joins the Tank roster piloting her MEKA, Beast
  • Plasma Saber for close-range slicing
  • Power Barrier to shield teammates
  • Propulsors for repositioning
  • Fusion Repeater for ranged pressure
  • Limit Break Ultimate to push the whole team forward

Events

  • Shooting Star: My MEKA Mania (August 11-31) – complete pilot passes and vote for your favourite MEKA Squad member, including Casino, King and Overlord
  • World Cup Cheer Rally (September 1-14) – earn Cheer to support AMER, EMEA or ASIA and unlock Battle Pass XP, Loot Boxes and regional hero skins
  • Team Drives (September 4-6) – win a Competitive match and keep your matched squad together through Gladiator Ranks

Battle Pass Revamp

  • Choose which Legendary skin to chase first after an intro track
  • Premium owners get a once-per-pass Tier Hack to swap a Legendary for another cosmetic from the Swap Pool (Raijin Ashe, Mob Boss Junker Queen, Cardboard Reinhardt, Sakura Lifeweaver, Crustacean Wrecking Ball)
  • Unvaulted Passes arrive midcycle, letting players catch up on select past Battle Passes permanently

Map Updates

  • Busan shows Junker and Talon attack damage, plus a peek inside D.Mon’s room
  • Paraíso adds festival decoration and a Lúcio-upgraded Clube Sinestesia
  • Eichenwalde gets new routes and a high-ground piano shop near the first chokepoint

In Combat Feedback

  • Team Status Indicator above the Kill Feed
  • New Tank Protect stat for mitigation saves
  • Multi-kill icons for streaks
  • Clearer healing visual effects
  • Damage contribution shown in the Activity Feed

Mythic Skins

  • Koi of Duality Genji – four customisation levels including hairstyles and colourways
  • Eternal Crystal Sojourn weapon skin – reacts to eliminations with flourish animations and a kill effect

Shop Collections (August 11-30)

  • Young Gods: Izanami Kiriko, Sekhmet Jetpack Cat, Nezha Wuyang, Artemis Freja, Shango Doomfist
  • Fleece and Fangs: Fancy Fleece Juno, Mei, Hanzo, and Fancy Fangs Reaper, Vendetta, Mercy
