Hi-Fi Rush was one of the best-kept secrets of 2023, shadow-dropping into the Xbox ecosystem and our hearts almost a year ago. It was one of the most exciting new game releases of last year and also made it to GINX's top 10 games of 2023 list.

A near-perfect infusion of rhythm-based and action gameplay, Hi-Fi Rush was one of those first-party Xbox exclusives that, in my opinion, people would have looked at and said, "Damn, this looks fun. I wish it could play this on my Switch."

While it would have seemed unlikely for a first-party title to be released on rival platforms in the past, Xbox has been breaking these trends lately. With that said, let's dive into whether Hi-Fi Rush will be coming to Switch or other platforms in the future.

Will Hi-Fi Rush Be Released On Nintendo Switch?

As of this writing, it isn't clear whether Hi-Fi Rush will be coming to Nintendo Switch or even PS5. However, rumors about Hi-Fi Rush's multiplatform release have been swirling around for a while now. It began when notable content creator, Nate the Hate, claimed that a GOTY-esque Xbox exclusive would be coming to a rival platform soon. Adding fuel to the fire was another prominent analyst, lolilolailo, who replied to a fan's comment on Resetera speculating about Hi-Fi Rush being the game in question by saying, "And you'll win."

Interestingly, Windows Central's Jez Corden also corroborated the idea, claiming that Microsoft has indeed been "exploring bringing some of its back catalog to other platforms." However, Microsoft and Xbox have not officially confirmed anything, so this should be taken with a grain of salt.

Personally, I would love to see Hi-Fi Rush on Switch as much as I would love to see Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on Xbox, though I'm not the one pulling the plugs on all these strategic decisions.

If you're curious to play Hi-Fi Rush on a handheld device right now, the game is Steam Deck verified. It should also be available on Lenovo Legion Go and Rog Ally via Game Pass and Steam.
