Dan Heng has been with players since the start of their journey, and only now can we learn more about his past via this one-on-one mission.

Honkai Star Rail Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae Companion Mission: How To Unlock & Complete

After receiving a message from Dan Heng, players will be able to visit the Xianzhou Luofu, where he will be waiting. Interact with Dan Heng IL, and after a short cutscene, the Companion Mission will begin.

The first objective players need to complete is traveling to the Alchemy Commission. Simply follow the waypoint markers until you arrive next to Jing Yuan. Eventually, after reaching the doc, players will need to do battle against a group of Vidyadhara Assasins. 

After this, an exploratory excursion will begin. Players will need to use Dan Heng IL to navigate this area, using Mirage Echolocation to detect invisible enemies. It is possible to make it to the end without fighting a single enemy. 

After this, players will meet up with Huianxi, who reveals she is the one who plotted to assassinate Bailu. This will initiate another battle. The team here will consist of the Fire Trailblazer, Bailu, and Dan Heng IL. All enemy attacks will target Bailu, so make sure to be aware of her health bar at all times. 

After the first wave is defeated, Jing Yuan will join in for the second wave as an ally. This fight is not very difficult and can be beaten relatively quickly. 

After this, simply speak with Jing Yuan, and the Dan Heng Companion Mission will be completed.
