How To Pre-install Honkai Star Rail 1.3

Honkai: Star Rail 1.3 update is all set to release on August 30, bringing brand new mechanics into play, new characters, enemies, and more. The update will be called Celestial Eyes Above Mortal Ruins, and HoYoverse has made it available for pre-installation so that players can download the majority of the data files in advance to save time and jump straight into the game after its release. Here is when Honkai: Star Rail pre-installation becomes available and how you can pre-install it. 

How to Pre-install Honkai Star Rail on PC, iOS, & Android

PC

If you are playing Honkai Star Rail on PC, you need to open the game’s PC launcher and look for the “Game Pre-Installation” button next to “Start Game”. Click on “Get Now,” and the download will start automatically. The download size is about 10 GB, and it will require 20 GB of space to get installed without any issues. You can check the progress of the download on the launcher’s interface.

Once the pre-download is completed, you will just need to download a few files once the update goes live on August 30. 

Mobile

If you are playing Honkai Star Rail on mobile devices, you need to launch Honkai Star Rail and enter the login screen. From there, tap on the “Resource pre-download” button at the bottom right corner of the login menu. Select all the relevant options and start the pre-download. The download size is about 10 GB, and after the pre-download is completed, a few more files will get downloaded automatically once the update goes live.
