Who Is Sam In Honkai Star Rail?

The recent Honkai Star RailJepella Rebellion trailer has a lot of players talking. What is Kafka really capable of? Who are the other members of the Stellaron Hunters? And when is that cat going to become a playable character?! Not much is known about the Stellaron Hunters at the moment, but we did manage to get our first glimpse at Sam. After reuniting with her colleagues, Kafka can be seen standing beside a tall iron-clad man who speaks to her in a mechanized voice. He tells Kafka to "stop playing with her food."

Who Is Sam In Honkai Star Rail?

As mentioned, Sam is a member of the Stellaron Hunters alongside Kafka, Silver Wolf, and Blade.  Sam was ordered by the Stellaron Hunters leader, Elio, to retrieve Blade along with Kafka, and was also the one who held Blade down while Kafka convinced him to join. Sam was also present when Kafka and Blade recruited Silver Wolf. 

Silver Wolf's description of Sam states that if a person were to come home and turn the lights on, Kafka and Blade would be waiting on the couch for them. However, Sam would not even give this person the opportunity to turn on the lights. This should be all you need to know about what a deadly character Sam is. 

Sam's mechanized appearance is also a mystery. Blade is stated to have thought Sam was wearing a suit of armor during their first meeting, while Silver Wolf has stated that Sam is a metal humanoid. This has left fans to speculate as to whether or not Sam is actually a human, a robot, or a hybrid of the two. 

In the game, Sam is a five-star Fire Element Destruction Path character. Similar to Blade, Sam will consume his own health bar in order to deal damage. He will also restore health when dealing damage based on a percentage of his max HP.
