How To Skip Cutscenes In Honkai Star Rail

Honkai Star Rail is truly a testament to the power of modern mobile games. Despite having a PC version, Honkai Star Rail can easily run on most mobile devices, and how HoYoverse managed to create such jaw-dropping cutscenes in a mobile game is baffling. These cutscenes are truly a sight to behold, and we recommend everyone sit through them and bask in the story.

That being said, for players who do not want to slow down their forward momentum or plan on catching up with the story at a later date via online videos, the ability to skip cutscenes can be a godsend. This goes doubly so for those new to Honkai Star Rail who want to reroll through the tutorial multiple times and do not want to watch the same cutscenes play out again and again.

So, if you are interested in learning how to skip cutscenes in Honkai Star Rail, you've come to the right place. This article will cover how to skip cutscenes in Honkai Star Rail so you can get back into the action.

Unfortunately, at the time of writing this, it is not possible to skip cutscenes in Honkai Star Rail. Skipping cutscenes doesn't seem to be HoYoverse's style, and it makes sense if you really think about it. After all, HoYoverse games have some of the most jaw-dropping cutscenes in all of gaming, which presumably cost a lot to produce.

If all players skipped through them, it would be a complete waste of money and time. So, whether it be fully animated cutscenes or the brief dialogue interactions between characters that are less stylized, the only option available is to mash through the text as fast as you can.

That said, there is a way to skip cutscenes that have already been viewed once before. If you view a cutscene before a boss battle which leads directly into a challenging encounter and you happen to lose the battle, you will be transported back to before the cutscene took place. Once you enter the encounter again, there will be a skip button in the upper-right corner of the screen, which you can use to skip the cutscene and proceed directly into combat or get back to exploring.

This is a great quality-of-life feature, and even HoYoverse knows that watching the same cutscene multiple times in a row is less than appealing.
