All Cauldrons locations and overrides in Horizon Forbidden West

Horizon Forbidden West's cauldrons are old-world research facilities used to manufacture the mechanical creatures Aloy encounters in-game. She can obtain data on these machines by overriding the cores by entering these facilities.

Five cauldrons can be explored to obtain various machine overrides, and as such, some locations are well-hidden. This excludes the Repair Lab: TAU facility, which can be completed before finding the first cauldron during the main story quest, “The Dying Lands”.

It’s important to note a level requirement is needed before entering the facilities, which we will provide below. This guide will detail where to find all the cauldrons and their requirements and rewards earned upon completion.

Additionally, the "Tallneck: Salt Bite" quest can be picked up once inside the facility, as you'll need to override a Tallneck found here. A Level 22 is required for this cauldron as you will be rewarded with 10,000 XP and three Skill Points upon completion.

The next cauldron is not far from the coastlands, southeast of the Thornmarsh encampment. As you approach the facility’s entrance, it’s covered by the flora from this area, making it inaccessible.

Head northwest from the original entrance to find the alternate entrance behind a waterfall. Once inside, you’ll notice that the facility is in a bad state, but it does need its power to be restored, so your Pullcaster and puzzle-solving skills will come in handy.

Cauldron KAPPA is the following facility to complete, located west of The Bulwark, an area previously explored during “The Broken Sky” quest. Players must have the Diving Mask in their possession, which will be beneficial as this cauldron is primarily submerged.

If you don’t have the mask before arriving at the facility, you’ll need to complete “The Sea of Sands” quest, which you can craft the mask with the help of Morlund. After completing the quest, return to the facility and locate its entrance underwater.

The final cauldron will be first discovered during the Tallneck: The Shining Wastes quest; however, players will not explore it just yet. You will return to the facility during the main quest, "GEMINI," which will send you to the location in the heart of the Tenakth Clan Lands.

What sets GEMINI different from other cauldrons is that its progress doesn't contribute to the overall trophy achievements, namely Fire Core Overriden and All Cores Overridden. However, its difficulty is much lower than Cauldron KAPPA, requiring a Level 30 for completion.

Completing GEMINI will earn you 15,000 XP and only two Skill Points as your reward. Only one override, the Sunwing, can be acquired from this cauldron.

That completes the entire guide into all the cauldrons, locations, requirements and rewards. We want to thank the YouTube channel 100% Guides for the complete walkthrough for Cauldronds and Overrides in Horizon Forbidden West.
