The biggest event in the League of Legends' esport calendar, Worlds, will take place later this month. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, The Worlds stage won’t be in front of thousands of people. Instead, the tournament will be held similarly to NBA - in a bubble environment in Shanghai.
Those limitations haven't stopped Riots attempts to make the World Championship unique, and have been collaborating with different brands around the world in order to create special content and merchandise.
Today we have learnt about Riot’s latest partnership, this time with Nike and their wildly successful Air Jordan sneaker, designing an exclusive Worlds 2020 inspired Air Jordan 1 Zoom.

The Jordan's, with their blue and white colourway, are meant to resemble the Summoner’s Cup, which is the trophy that is awarded to the winner of the World Championship each year.

As of now, only one image has been released online, with more details expected by the time Worlds starts on the 25th of September.
Nike has a history with League of Legends, as it is the sponsor of a few of its professional teams. This list consists mostly of Chinese organizations, such as Top Esports, JD Gaming, Suning and LGD, with the apparel company responsible for printing the team jerseys for the aforementioned teams.
As of now the pricing and number of pairs to be sold is unknown. Usually, Air Jordan 1's are priced around $170 USD, so it would be fair to assume that the price of new, exclusive Worlds inspired sneakers will be more.
The League of Legends Worlds 2020 will run from the 25th September to 31st October.
