League of Legends: Wild Rift to get Twitch premiere on 22 October

League of Legends fans are gearing up to watch Riot Games’ upcoming Wild Rift preview event happening this Thursday.

Wild Rift has been going through phases of beta testing over the past year, keeping fans at the edge of their seat for Riot’s monthly updates.

Fortunately, the wait is almost over and the giant gaming company is ready to bring it up a notch through big-name advertising. Celebrity influencers will play the mobile game via the new iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, serving as a boost for Apple’s featured products.

Additionally, the preview event will showcase the power of Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband network on a high-quality game.

Influencers such as Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black, Claudio “Cesaro” Castagnoli, Emmalee “EMUHLEET” Garrido, William “Meteos” Hartman, Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett and Joedat “Voyboy” Esfahani will be joining in on the event as well as celebrities like Rick Fox and Nate Hill.

EMUHLEET and others have already shared their excitement over the event, advertising the new iPhone and promoting their partnership with Verizon via Twitter. Additionally, they’re all participating in a contest, where poll participants have the chance to win a new iPhone 12 Pro with 5G.

The Verizon preview event is an expansion of Verizon’s multi-year partnership with Riot Games. Additionally, this event is also an extension of Verizon’s partnership with Twitch.

Although the game is not out yet, it’s currently set to begin Open Beta phase for several regions starting 27th October via iOS and Android.

Current regions available to participate in the Open Beta include Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, and Thailand. By December, Riot plans to expand the available regions to Europe, Middle East, North America, and Oceania.

The complete list can be found on Riot’s official website.
