Riot Games announce Legends South Asia, giving players a direct path to represent the region at LCP Wildcard Playoffs.

Riot Games, in partnership with Aftermath Ventures, has officially announced Legends Ascend South Asia, an online-only amateur League of Legends tournament.The tournament will kick off on April 27 and will be open to all players in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, and the Maldives.

Running until August 3, Legends Ascend South Asia features a format consisting of three open qualifiers, a round-robin league stage, and double-elimination playoffs. With a prize pool of INR 10,00,000 ($11,706), the tournament offers a slot in the League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) Wildcard Playoffs to the winning team.

“Legends Ascend is about giving players in South Asia a real shot at competitive League of Legends. It’s a step towards building a stronger, more connected community where players and fans can all find more ways to play, engage, grow, and be part of something bigger," said Arun Rajappa, Country Manager, India & South Asia at Riot Games.

Here is the schedule for every stage:

  • Open Qualifier #1:
    • Registration: Apr 27 to May 3
    • Matches: May 4 to May 11
  • Open Qualifier #2:
    • Registration: May 12 to May 17
    • Matches: May 18 to May 25
  • Open Qualifier #3:
    • Registration: May 26 to May 31
    • Matches: Jun 1 to Jun 8
  • Round Robin League: Jun 13 to Jul 20
  • Playoffs (Top 4): Jul 25 to Aug 3

All matches will be broadcast live on Aftermath Ventures’ FragNation YouTube Channel.
