One of those games is Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story, developed by Tequila Works, a single-player adventure game where players will take on the role of Nunu, a boy who is friends with a Yeti named Willump.
All you need to know about Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story
In Song of Nunu, players will take on the role of Nunu, a small child who befriends a Yeti-like creature called Wallump. In a land left desolate by war, Nunu has lost his mother and the game revolves around the search.
“The world of Runeterra is populated by hundreds of mighty heroes, but as creators, we were always more interested in the wrinkles, those tiny details that define all humanity, and there’s this tiny little child called Nunu, who in this world of war, he’s just looking for his mother. This was the kind of story we wanted to tell,” said Raúl Rubio, Tequila Works CEO.
Song of Nunu will be a single-player narrative experience, where you will have the chance to explore Freljord, an inhospitable, unforgiving wasteland, while you get to know more about the Notai, a tribe that doesn’t believe in war and lives in harmony with the magic.
Thanks to his magical flute, Nunu will be able to interact with different elements in the environment using the power of its notes and sounds. Learning the best melodies will be crucial to solving every challenge that awaits in your journey, as you explore new and exciting places from Runeterra.
“We put so much care into the relationship between Nunu and Willump, they play together, laugh together, cry together. This is a story about the friendship between two different beings, and how they grow to love each other. This is a game about pure innocent joy, hope, and family,” added Estefanía Salcedo and Ramón Acedo, Lead Programmer and Art Director at Tequila Works.
Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story is set to release in 2022.
