m0NESY has been named MVP of IEM Cologne Major 2026, capping off a dominant individual performance across the tournament as Team Falcons claimed the organisation’s first Major title with a 3–0 grand final victory over FURIA.
The award marks m0NESY’s seventh career MVP but his first at a Major – a significant milestone that had been building throughout his career. He finished the event with a 1.25 rating, the key number that separated him from teammates in what was reportedly a close internal race, with NiKo and kyousuke both posting competitive figures across the playoff run.
The Number That Stood Out
His best map of the entire event came on Anubis in the grand final, where m0NESY posted a 2.13 rating and finished 22–10 on kills and deaths. That kind of map-level performance in a title-deciding match is what tends to cement MVP cases, and it did exactly that here.
The IEM Cologne Major 2026 ran from 2 to 21 June in Cologne, Germany, with 32 teams competing across a $1.25 million prize pool. Falcons took home $500,000 as champions, making this one of the most valuable results in the organisation’s history. The scale of the event – and the viewership it drew – only added weight to an individual award that had been a long time coming for m0NESY.
