Madden 22 TOTW 5 predictions ft. Justin Herbert, Davante Adams, more

Another week full of heart-racing games left us with memorable individual performances that should punch their tickets to the next release of Madden 22's Team of the Week program.
Madden 22 TOTW 5 predictions ft. Justin Herbert, Davante Adams, more

Before we start with this edition of our predictions of players that could make the Team of the Week program in Madden 22, I should warn you that I was not contempt with last weeks results.

After we nailed four out of five in Week 3, we only got two of our predictions correctly this time as Trevon Diggs and Tyreek Hill made the cut for us. We will not count Brady’s record-breaker item as it was an unofficial guess.

This week we are looking for a rebound as we identified some players that had outstanding performances during Sunday's games and we believe they have a shot of having a brand new TOTW item in Madden Ultimate Team.

Herbert’s five total TD’s is impressive enough to be part of Madden 22 Team of the Week 5

Just like we do every week we will update you whenever EA makes the official announcement, but we will go ahead to predict who will be part of it based on Week 5 individual performances and how those will affect their MUT best item.

WR Davante Adams - Green Bay Packers

Core Elite 88 OVR -> TOTW 92 OVR

We would love to repeat our luck with Adams as we predicted back in July that he was going to be inducted to the Madden 99 Club, we believe that after an 11 reception, 206 yards and a TD outing against the Bengals, he has a very good chance to make the TOTW.

QB Justin Herbert - Los Angeles Chargers

Team Builders 84 OVR -> TOTW 90 OVR

Another familiar face as we made him a TOTW candidate back in Week 3 after he took down the Chiefs yet EA went a different direction. This time he showed out against the Browns posting 398 passing yards and 5 totals TD’s without a turnover to take the top of their division.

WR Antonio Brown - Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Core Gold 79 OVR -> TOTW 84 OVR

A couple of years ago we thought that Antonio’s career was over, but a phone call from Tom Brady has totally changed that. He has been incredibly serviceable for Tampa Bay in last year’s championship run and this season thus far. On Sunday he led the team receiving with seven catches for 124 yards and two scores.

FS Kevin Byard - Tennessee Titans

Core Elite 81 OVR -> TOTW 87 OVR

The Titans did not exactly face the toughest opponent as the winless, distracted Jaguars barely presented an obstacle on Sunday. Yet, the veteran safety left no room for error and was all over the field defensively racking up 10 tackles to go along with an interception and a fumble returned for a touchdown.

CB Donte Jackson - Carolina Panthers

Core Elite 84 OVR -> TOTW 87 OVR

Sometimes games just don’t your way, but your job is to put the team in the best position possible and that is exactly what “Action” Jackson did on Sunday. He notched 6 tackles, a pass defended, an interception and a forced fumble as the Panthers fell short against Philadelphia.

Madden 22 TOTW Week 4 Challenges
Make sure to complete the TOTW challenges every single time as they will help you get TOTY tokens. (Picture: EA Sports)

We will wait and see if EA agrees with us this time or if they just have a different opinion of whom should be enshrined in one of the most wanted programs in MUT.

Also, remember to play the TOTW solo challenges and try to earn every single star available as one of the rewards are the TOTY tokens that will be crucial to recruiting a Team of the Year player at the end of the NFL season.

Stay tuned as we will update this article whenever Madden announces the official Week 5 Team of the Week items through their official social media accounts.

We stay flat in our predictions as we only hit the mark twice in our TOTW 5 nominees

This thing has gotten repetitive but I haven't quite gotten the grasp of what is EA evaluating because it can't be only stats.

If the numbers were solely ruling these selections we would have probably seen Donte Jackson over Quincy Williams or Herbert over his teammate.

Hopefully, next week we are able to get a better grasp of these intrinsic factors and improve our predictions.

In the meantime, make sure to give a look at our dedicated section as we will bring you everything you need to know about every Madden release, news, MUT tips and more.
