What is Josh Norman's rating in Madden 22?

Earlier this week, NFL cornerback Josh Norman was signed by the San Francisco 49ers, as the team is in desperate need of depth at the position. 

Josh Norman was considered a top cornerback in the league once upon a time. He was even the highest-rated player at his position in Madden 17, boasting a 97 overall rating. However, since then, he has fallen off tremendously. This was capped off by Norman getting ran over by the Tennessee Titans’ Derrick Henry last October. 

Still, Norman is a big name in the Madden community and his signing has players wondering what his rating is in Madden 22. Below, we’ll go into all of the details surrounding Norman in the latest installment of the Madden franchise. 

Is Josh Norman in Madden 22? 

As of right now, Josh Norman isn’t even in Madden 22. Players won’t be able to find him listed in the current roster or on MUTHead.com, as the rosters haven’t been updated to reflect the latest signings yet. However, when he is, players can update their in-game rosters to find him and adjust his stats if they so please.

What this currently means is that players can’t use the former top cornerback in Franchise Mode or Madden Ultimate Team. Of course, every player on an NFL roster will be added to the game once they are signed. This means players won’t have to wait long to see Norman on the San Francisco roster. 

What will Josh Norman’s rating be? 

Last season, Josh Norman was ranked as the 17th cornerback in the NFL by PFF. While this isn’t a great ranking, it’s still a solid placement and should net him a decent rating by the Madden 22 committee. 

As for what that rating will be, it’s difficult to tell. However, given his name and performance last season, fans should expect Norman to receive a low-80s rating at the highest. Perhaps the Madden 22 ratings committee will be generous and bump this up to a mid-80s but it seems unlikely.
