As such, players will immerse themselves in the war-ravaged period, where they'll play four heroes, Captain America, Black Panther, Nanali, and Gabriel Jones, at various times and events and explore their unique backstories in this "globe-trotting adventure." Bill Rosemann, Marvel Games' Vice President and Creative Director, commented that the team at Skydance exudes a "deep love and respect for our characters, have poured themselves into the core comic book inspiration, and will harness their incredible storytelling skills to craft an all-new, thrilling narrative experience."

Following the trailer's release, one of the biggest talking points was the incredible visual showcase, which the game built using Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5. Ninja Theory used this tool for their upcoming game, Hellblade 2: Senua's Saga, which Skydance also used to produce near-realistic facial features and expressions.

According to the game's D23 Expo 2022 announcement post, "Players can look forward to intuitive controls and exhilarating second-to-second gameplay that captures the action and excitement of Marvel, inspired by landmark comics, television, and films." Furthermore, it's been made public that the development team comprises talented artists, engineers, and developers with decades-worth of experience producing "AAA experience in action and adventure gaming," alongside a consultancy team whose resumes range from comics, video games, and live-action projects.
