Marvel's Spider-Man 2 features two playable characters, both of whom have an equally important role in the game's story. Both Peter and Miles also boast unique skills and have different costumes, which you can unlock over the course of the game. 

With more characters comes more freedom, and one of the first things you would probably want to do after being thrust into the open world is switch between Peter and Miles. Sadly, the game doesn't exactly tell how that works, and if you're anything like me, you may wonder something like, "Oh, maybe I haven't unlocked the option to swap characters yet." How To Swap Characters In Spider-Man 2

You can switch characters in Spider-Man 2 by swiping left on the DualSense controller's touchpad and accessing the FNSM app. Here, you will find the option to switch to Peter or Miles by pressing Square. 

Ganke actually upgrades the FNSP app on Peter and Mile's smartphones during the main quest, "One Thing At A Time," after which you're free to switch between the characters. 

Even if you decide not to switch, you can bump into the other Spider-Man while exploring the open world, and these usually result in some fun banters between the two web crawlers.
