Marvel Confirms Daredevil Born Again Is Headed To Disney Plus

Marvel Studios stole the show at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, which made a spectacular return since 2019 in front of a live audience. Detailing plans for the upcoming phases in the officially announced Multiverse Saga, the rumored Daredevil project formally was confirmed during the theatrical showcase on 23rd July 2022.

The project certainly grabbed a lot of attention due to early reports revealing that the studio is developing a series for the character on Disney+. With the series officially confirmed, audiences may see the character back in action soon.

Daredevil Gets Reborn in New Disney+ Series

Announced as part of Phase 5 of the MCU's Multiverse Saga, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige unveiled officially a new Daredevil project, Daredevil: Born Again is coming soon. According to Feige, while discussing the future of the MCU, he emphasized that the project is "very special" given how widely popular the character and the series were before it was canceled and left in Marvel purgatory.

Feige provided early details on the project, revealing that the first season will feature a staggering 18 episodes, more than any other Marvel series on Disney+, Hulu, and Netflix. The project, which will premiere on Disney+ in Spring 2024, will see The Devil of Hell's Kitchen reborn in a familiar world but with old and new threats trying to take over his city.

The show will reunite its original actors, Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio, as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, respectively. Both actors have made recent appearances in the MCU, with D'Onofrio portraying the main villain in the Hawkeye series last November, appearing in the fifth and sixth episodes.

On the other hand, Cox returned as Matt Murdock, Peter Parker's lawyer in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The actor is rumored to be appearing in the upcoming ECHO series, the spin-off to Hawkeye, but many suspected he'd be seen much earlier.

During the final moments of the She-Hulk: Attorney At Law trailer, a red and yellow-clad figure appeared momentarily wielding the famed Billy Clubs. While Marvel Studios has yet to confirm that it is Daredevil officially, the costume change is an homage to the character's original costume design from the Daredevil #1 comic of April 1964 as well as the Daredevil Yellow comic series.
