Ms Marvel – Episode list, release schedule, and runtimes

We're days away from the live-action debut of Kamala Khan in her solo superhero series, Ms Marvel. The series will serve as her introduction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) despite the character's previous appearances in various Disney animated series.

While press screenings have already seen positive reviews ahead of the series' launch, audiences will know when Ms Marvel will be available to stream. We've detailed when Ms Marvel premieres, its episode list, runtimes, and more without providing too many spoilers.

Ms Marvel – Release date and schedule

Marvel Studios' next live-action series, Ms Marvel, will debut on the streaming service, Disney+ on 8th June 2022. The series is the second production from the studio this year, following the success of Moon Knight in April 2022.

The episodes will be available to stream every Wednesday, starting 8th June 2022, with the final episode arriving to the streaming service on 13th July 2022. Below is the complete release schedule for all Ms Marvel episodes coming to Disney+:

  • Episode 1 - 8th June 2022
  • Episode 2 - 15th June 2022
  • Episode 3 - 22nd June 2022
  • Episode 4 - 29th June 2022
  • Episode 5 - 6th July 2022
  • Episode 6 - 13th July 2022

Ms Marvel follows a Muslim American teenager, Kamala Khan, as she juggles family life, trying to fit in at her local high school and her love for the equally powerful Captain Marvel. Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel is one of Marvel Comics' most popular characters of the last decade.

While she'll be the first Muslim superhero to grace the live-action scene, her superpowers largely contributed to the character's popularity. While not comic book-accurate in her first MCU outing, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige explained that the show instead "will learn about where those powers come from, and how they come about, is specific to the MCU."

How many episodes does Ms Marvel have?

Much like previous Marvel Studios original series, including The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and Moon Knight, Ms Marvel will only feature six episodes during its run. Unlike the latter, Ms Marvel's next MCU appearance has already been confirmed, with the character joining forces with Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau/Photon in The Marvels.

A rumour online recently hinted at a potential second season for the teenage superhero. This rumour comes following an image circulating social media of a gift tag reading "Season 1"; however, Marvel Studios hasn't confirmed this rumour yet.

How long are the episodes of Ms Marvel?

While the series will have a limited amount of episodes, Ms Marvel run times appear to follow previous MCU series, ranging between 47 and 49 minutes long. We can't confirm if this is the case with the remaining episodes, especially as the studio has to consider each episode's final subtitle and dubbing work.

This may see some episodes extend their running times by at least five minutes, but this will only be confirmed once the episodes have premiered. As such, we will provide updates on this and more following the show's debut on Disney+.

Ms Marvel premieres on Disney+ on 8th June 2022, and episodes will stream every Wednesday at 12 am PT | 3 am ET. The original documentary short, "A Fan's Guide to Ms Marvel", is available on the streaming service.
