Marvel's Spider-Man 2 PS5 Console Bundle: Price, Plates Cost & Controller

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is one of the most anticipated games of the entire year, working as a sequel to one of the more critically and commercially successful PS4 exclusives. As was announced during SDCC, the game is also getting a limited edition PS5 console bundle that comes with a separate controller, but where can you get it? How much will it set you back? Can you buy the controller and the side plates separately? We take a look at everything you need to know.

Where Can You Buy The Limited Edition Spider-Man 2 PS5?

Currently, there's no listing for the limited edition bundle, but judging by previous releases it'll likely only be purchasable on PSDirect, similar to other limited edition items such as the God of War Ragnarok limited edition DualSense controller. You'll be able to pre-order the bundle starting next Friday, 28 July. 

How Much Will The Spider-Man 2 PS5 Cost?

Again, there's no price available as of right now on the console, but a digital PS5 costs around £389, so factoring that into the equation would indicate that we might see a price point of just over £400. The fact that this is a limited edition bundle means that the price will likely be more expensive than a standard console. 

Can You Buy The Spider-Man 2 Side Plates And Controller Separately?

Yes. You will be able to buy the side plates and the controller separately, although it's currently unclear exactly how much they will cost. Judging from previous releases, the side plates will cost at least £44.99, with the controller costing at least £64.99. There's a fairly decent chance that we see the price increased due to the plates and the controller being limited edition, however.

Previous limited edition PS5 controllers such as the limited edition PS5 Lebron James controller cost £69.99 on release, with the PS5 Dualsense Wireless Controller for God of War Ragnarok costing £64.99.

Does The PS5 Bundle Come With Marvel's Spider-Man 2?

The limited edition PS5 bundle comes with a digital copy of the game since the PS5 itself is a digital edition. It's worth keeping in mind that this also means none of your DVDs, blu-rays or 4K's will work on the PS5, along with any games you already own.
