Minecraft is one of the most popular games in the world. It is a worldwide phenomenon that has only grown over the years. Because of that, it is only natural that a Minecraft Movie would be in the works.

It has been rumored for a long time but we now have an actual release date for the Minecraft Movie. The movie will supposedly launch on April 25, 2025. Along with that news, we have soft confirmation that Jack Black will be playing Steve in the movie.

We are slowly getting more information about the upcoming Minecraft Movie. Just recently, Jack Black posted a picture of himself on Instagram "preparing" for his next movie role. Reports and IMDB also show that Jack Black will be Steve in the Minecraft Movie.

Jack Black has recently been the voice of Bowser in the recent Super Mario Bros. Movie so he is no stranger to video game movies. Jack Black will also revisit his role as Po in the upcoming Kung-Fu Panda 4 movie.
