Minecraft is about to receive a large update to help bring more depth to the environment. The world of Minecraft continues to expand as one of the most played games in the world even 11 years after its release.
Just like the Caves & Cliffs Update that went live last year, The Wild Update will change certain biomes and add new critters, blocks, and craftable goods. This new update focuses on the Overworld which is where players spend most of their time when playing Minecraft.
Minecraft The Wild Update - Release Date
The Wild Update for Minecraft is set to release on 7th June 2022 and will be available for both the Bedrock edition on consoles and mobile along with the Java edition for computers.

Minecraft The Wild Update - New content
The Wild Update is bringing some hefty additions to Minecraft. The Overworld will be receiving two new biomes, The Deep Dark, and Mangrove Swamps, for players to explore.
The Deep Dark will be secluded areas deep in mines and will be home to the new horrific mob, Skriekers. Several types of sculk blocks will be found inside the deep dark. Mangrove Swamps will provide a new tree with long roots that grow out of the swamps. A new mud block can be found in the Mangrove Swamps along with frogs and tadpoles.
Players will also now be able to build a boat with a chest to help them with their watery adventures. A new challenging mob will be included known as the warden who stalks The Deep Dark and will require stealth to overcome.
During last year’s Minecraft Live, players voted on a new mob to be added to the game. The allay was chosen and will be arriving with The Wild Update. This new mob will collect items for players throughout the world and will dance around any note blocks.
