To quote Havik speaking to Ashrah in Mortal Kombat 1: "You will accept chaos!" Great! But it shouldn't be a headache to unlock Havik in MK1, right? Don't worry; we've got some painkillers ready in the form of knowledge!

To be clear, in this guide, we will explain how you can unlock Havik as a playable character in Mortal Kombat 1, so let's rip off some limbs and get started!

Havik, the "Rebellious Anarchist," hasn't been a playable character in the Mortal Kombat franchise since Armageddon, which was released roughly sixteen (16) years ago! Therefore, we can't blame fans for wanting to unlock Havik as soon as possible, adding him to your playable character roster.

Simply put, you must complete Mortal Kombat 1's Story Mode to permanently unlock Havik as a playable fighter. Mortal Kombat 1's story should take roughly 5.5 to 6 hours to beat!

Let's say you've completed the story and have not received Havik. Well, the developers have a solution, explaining:

If you completed the Story Mode and did not receive the Havik playable character or other Story progression rewards, please check the Notifications menu under your Kombat Kard to claim any missed rewards.

So how does the Kombat Kard work, or how do you access it? Well, you can launch the Kombat Kard in Mortal Kombat 1 by pressing the Touchpad on PS5, the View button on Xbox, and the "-" button on the Nintendo Switch. For PC, the default key to open the Kombat Kard is "M".

To receive rewards from the Kombat Kard in Mortal Kombat 1, thereby unlocking Havik once you've completed the Story Mode, you will have to be online. Find out if the Mortal Kombat 1 servers are down or live with our dedicated guide.

Once you've unlocked Havik, you can access him in the roster selection screen for MK1's various game modes.

So there you have it, a way to unlock Havik as a playable character in Mortal Kombat 1. Good luck, Kombatants, and enjoy!
