Sub-Zero is one of the two most famous fighters in the Mortal Kombat series, with his return in Mortal Kombat 1 all but guaranteed before his announcement. Players are getting their first taste of the icy character, freezing opponents in their tracks before shattering them to pieces. The only thing missing in the beta is his natural opposite, Scorpion.

There are a range of Frozen combos and basic attacks that make Sub-Zero as reliable as he's always been for new players. Using his attacks, you can freeze opponents and give yourself some space or take advantage of the opening. Below you'll find the current move list for Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat 1's during the pre-order beta.

Full Move List for Sub-zero in Mortal Kombat 1

Sub-Zero is one of the most iconic characters from the franchise and is usually a title that has been shared by multiple members of the Lin Kuei clan of assassins. With the universe reset, it seems likely that this version of Sub Zero is the older version that players have encountered in the most recent timeline.

There is little less than a month until Mortal Kombat 1's full release on September 19, 2023, with early access starting five days before. While Sub-Zero's moves are likely complete and ready to ship, there could be some changes as a result of this pre-order beta as well as more fatalities to be unlocked.

All of the following combinations refer to "forward" as being toward the opponent and "away" as the opposite direction. All specific button inputs for kicks, punches, and others can be found under the "Kontrols" section of the pause menu for your specific console or controller.
