While some gaming events have been postponed in light of the US protests against police brutality following George Floyd’s death, a new tournament is looking to raise money to help support the fight. 

Kombat Against Justice will be raising money for Campaign Zero, an organisation dedicated to ending police violence in the US. All proceeds from the tournament will be going to the charity.

What is Kombat Against Injustice and how can I donate?

Kombat Against Injustice is a Mortal Kombat 11 charity tournament designed to raise money for Campaign Zero in the fight against police brutality in the US. 

Matcherino is helping to crowdfund for the tournament, with anyone able to donate to the cause via the event page. If you use the code ‘Kombat’ you’ll also add $0.50 to event fund.

What is the prize pool for the event? 

The Kombat Against Injustice prize pool is $1,000 provided by organisers Console Gaming League, which is separate from the total collected through donations. 

The winner of the tournament will receive $500 which they can donate to a charity of their choice, with second, third and fourth place also receiving cash prizes so they can do the same. 

 

Who is competing? 

A total of 16 competitors will take part in Kombat Against Injustice, ranging from the biggest players to prominent voices in the community.

Kombat Against injustice kicks off Saturday 6th June at 5pm EST/10pm BST/11pm CEST.
