Are you interested in trying out Naraka Bladepoint, a battle royale game set in a feudal Chinese setting with a fast-paced melee combat system and the ability to host up to 60 players? If so, you may be curious about the cost of entry. Perhaps you’ve wondered whether the game is free to play, like Fortnite and other battle royale games.
Fortunately, you won’t have to wonder for much longer. This article aims to answer the question of whether Naraka Bladepoint is free-to-play, commonly abbreviated as F2P. So, without any further delay, let’s dive right into the details.
Is Naraka Bladepoint Free-to-Play (F2P)?
At the time of writing, Naraka Bladepoint is unfortunately not free-to-play and requires that players purchase the game via Steam or the Epic Games Store. The game retails for $19.99/£17.99, and in our opinion, this isn’t a very high price to pay for the amount of content you get from the game, such as its diverse array of characters to choose from and epic battles to take part in.
We currently don’t know if the developers of the game, 24 Entertainment, plan on releasing the game as free-to-play at some point, but it may happen if the game garners enough support and a strong fan base in the months to come. For now, the only way to play the game is to purchase it or wait for one of the free weekends to try it out.
The last free weekend for Naraka Bladepoint was last year, on the 17th of December and running through to the 21 December, so it’s likely that another free weekend may be coming soon. It’s even more likely since the new Season of Naraka Bladepoint, called Untamed, will be released soon, as well as some new and exciting events such as the upcoming NARAKA: BLADEPOINT x Conqueror’s Blade Crossover Event.
Ultimately, the game is worth the price of admission, with the developers constantly striving to add new content to the game and keep the ideas for events and gameplay fresh and unique. There may be some future incentive to have the game turn free-to-play at some point, and we hope they do soon, especially since the game has just recently come to Xbox Series X|S platforms and will likely expand to other consoles soon after being a PC exclusive at first.
