New World: All baits and where to find them

Fishing is one of the most lucrative activities in Amazon's New World MMO. Players can catch fish and use them to make high tier dishes, salvage them for items like fish oils, and others or players can directly sell them using a trading post.

We recommend players set up a company around fishing because not every player has the patience to catch fish. So what they do is they go to the trading post and buy fish. With the right bait and fishing spot knowledge, players can earn a lot of gold coins, as well as craft a profusion of items. 

With that said, here is the list of all baits in New World MMO and how you can obtain them.

New World offers around twelve types of baits that players can use to gain boosts while fishing. Here is the complete list of baits that you can obtain or craft in the New World MMO.

How to get bread bait 

Players can find bread bait in provision containers. farms and other similar locations are your best bet to obtain the bread bait. Also, make sure your kitchen tier is two. 

Using the bread bait grants a small boost to catching better fish in freshwater.

How to get cheese bait 

Similar to the bread bait, players can obtain cheese bait from provision containers. Just make sure you have your kitchen tier at rank 2.

When players use the bread bait while fishing, they get a small boost to catching better fish in saltwater.

How to get clam bait 

Players can obtain the clam bait from clams. And, one of the best locations to look for clams is Stolen Shores in the Everfall Hamlet. 

The clam bait grants a small boost to the chances of catching better fish in freshwater.

How to get electric eel bait 

As the name suggests, players can obtain electric eel bait from electric eels. 

The electric eel bait grants a large boost to catching bigger fish in saltwater.

How to get firefly bait 

Players can get firefly bait in New World by salvaging bulrush plants/briar plants. 

When players use the Firefly Bait while fishing, they get a large boost to catching better fish in freshwater.

How to get fish bait 

Players can craft the fish bait in New World, assuming their kitchen is at tier two. And they have at least a tier 1 camp.

How to get glowworm bait 

Players can obtain the glowworm bait from flints at night time. As you may already know, flints are a common resource that you will find all around Aeternum.  

So, just wait till its night time, and then start gathering flints. If you are lucky, you with get the glowworm bait in few minutes. 

When players use the glowworm bait, they get a large boost to catching better fish in saltwater.

How to get meat bait 

Similar to the fish bait, players can craft meat bait granted their kitchen is at tier two. And they have at least a tier 1 camp. 

When players use the meat bait, they get a small boost to catching better fish in freshwater.

How to get nightcrawler bait 

Opposite to glowworm bait, players can obtain the nightcrawler bait from flints during the daytime.

When players use the glowworm Bait, they get a large boost to catching better fish in saltwater.

How to get oyster bait 

Players can obtain the oyster bait by salvaging oysters. 

When players use the oyster bait, they get a large boost to catching bigger fish in freshwater.

How to get snail bait 

Players can salvage snail bait from snails that players can obtain while fishing in shallow freshwater. 

When players use the snail bait, they get a medium boost to catching better fish in saltwater.

How to get woodlouse bait 

Players can obtain the woodlouse bait from bushes. So make sure to gather bush every once in a while. 

When players use the woodlouse bait, they get a medium boost to catching better fish in freshwater.
