Nintendo franchises are starting to take over the movie space. Most recently, we successfully launched the Super Mario Bros. Movie. Now, we have full confirmation that we will eventually get a live-action The Legend of Zelda movie.

Many fans are hoping that their favorite franchises will be recreated in a movie shortly. That may be possible because it is rumored that Illumination wants to make a Super Smash Bros movie.

Illumination was a major contributing factor in working on the Super Mario Bros. Movie. It seems like they want to do it again but this time, do it Avengers-style. They are rumored to have pitched a Nintendo cinematic universe spanning across a majority of the Nintendo franchises.

What this will accumulate to is a final Super Smash Bros. Avengers-style movie at the end. If this pitch is successful, this means that there will be multiple Nintendo spinoffs in the works. Nintendo tends to march to the beat of their own drum though, so they may reject this pitch.
