In the years following its release, the team at Hello Games has continued to remain transparent with its player base for the space exploration survival game No Man’s Sky. Through its Community Support team, which provides new announcements and updates to keep the community in the loop, this unwavering dedication has gained massive respect from players both a part of the community and beyond, and their efforts were recognized once again.
No Man’s Sky received a single nomination at The Game Awards 2024 for Best Community Support, which they’ve been nominated in this category since 2021 but were unsuccessful. Regardless of their recent loss, they still celebrated with their community, announcing a new game reward that players could acquire for a limited time.
The remarkable journey of how Hello Games turned around No Man’s Sky has been well-documented and reported, but it goes without saying that the game is completely different compared to its messy launch. The developer worked diligently to address the myriad of issues that had plagued the game before providing new content and features that continued to focus on aspects of what they had promised: space exploration.
Hello Games announced on 12th December 2024, celebrating their nomination for Community Support at The Game Awards 2024 with a new starship to add to their Collection. The golden-hued Starborn Phoenix starship is available until 19th December 2024 at 10 am PT / 1 pm PT / 6 pm GMT, exclusively for the game’s Steam version.
This reward can be claimed from its Steam page listing for free, even if players don’t own No Man’s Sky yet, but once they’ve clicked “Add to Account,” it will be bound to their account until they own the game. Once they’ve launched the game, they must locate the Quicksilver Synthesis Companion within the Space Anomaly, and the starship will be theirs!
