No Man's Sky Omega update brings a new starship called Starborn Runner to the game. However, as is tradition, you won't get this new starship right away, and you will need to unlock it first. Therefore, here's everything you need to know about obtaining Starborn Runner in No Man's Sky.

How To Get Starborn Runner Ship

The only way to unlock Starborn Runner Ship in No Man's Sky is by completing Expedition 12, called Omega. The new expedition consists of five different phases, and here's a list of all the challenges:

• Interface Poster: Complete Expedition 12 Phase 1
• Starborn Poster: Complete Expedition 12 Phase 1
• Atlas Headhsield: Complete Expedition 12 Phase 2
• Atlas Sceptre: Complete Expedition 12 Phase 3
• Atlas Flightpack: Complete Expedition 12 Phase 4
• Omega Decal: Complete Expedition 12 Phase 5
• Title: Starborn: Complete Expedition 12 Phase 5
• Omega Banner: Complete Expedition 12 Phase 5
• Starborn Runner: Complete Expedition 12

You can initiate the Expedition directly from the anomaly, thanks to the newly added Expedition terminal. Once you complete all the aforementioned phases, the Starborn Runner Ship is all yours.

Starborn Runner Ship Features Explained

The Starborn Runner is designed for racing, with a sleek and aerodynamic body that features racing stripes and a massive engine. It has a high maneuverability rating, allowing it to make sharp turns and avoid obstacles with ease. It also has a powerful pulse engine that can boost its speed and performance, as well as a cargo deflector that reduces the impact of collisions.

The Starborn Runner is not only fast, but also well-equipped for combat. It has a phase beam that can drain enemy shields and a photon cannon that can deal damage at close range. It also has a starship trail that leaves a colorful trail behind it, and a polo bobblehead that adds some personality to the cockpit.

The Starborn Runner’s most distinctive feature is its landing gear, which is an anti-gravity hover mode that allows it to hover above the ground without touching it. This is similar to the living ships that you can encounter in the game, and it gives the Starborn Runner a futuristic and cool look.
