The developers at Blizzard are consistently building hype and running advertisements for Overwatch 2, and with the recent release of the Stadium map, it's only natural to see their ads popping up all around the web. However, it seems they accidentally slipped in a small detail that flew under the radar in one of their recent advertisements: a new collaboration between Overwatch 2 and Street Fighter may be on the way. Here’s what we know so far.
Blizzard Drops the Combo: Street Fighter x Overwatch 2 Collab Leaked Early
As seen in a now-deleted piece of advertising on the PlayStation Network (archived here by ResetEra user NeoRaider), Overwatch 2 seems to have accidentally revealed a new collaboration. The ad read: “Mid-season magic is alive. Keep battling in Stadium with a Street Fighter 6 collaboration and Dokiwatch Mythic Mercy Weapon Skin.”

The Street Fighter 6 collaboration coming to #Overwatch2 Season 16 Mid-Season has been revealed on PSN. It looks like Chun-Li, Juri, Cammy, Juri, and other collab skins could be coming.

Naturally, the post was deleted almost immediately—but not before the internet took notice. And while that’s all the information we have for now, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say this collab makes perfect sense. Overwatch 2 has partnered with numerous IPs over the years, and teaming up with a heavy hitter like Street Fighter—one of Capcom’s biggest franchises—seems like a logical next step.
Unfortunately, no images of the collab were shared, so we don’t yet know how Street Fighter's distinct art style might translate into the Overwatch universe. Personally, I’d love to see a new Ramattra skin—after all, he punches things too.
For now, we’ll have to wait on official confirmation from Blizzard. If this Street Fighter 6 crossover is real, it’ll likely drop sometime next season. Stay tuned.
