Overwatch 2 has just recently started its fifth season and players are enjoying all sorts of new content that season 5 has to offer. From the battle pass to the newest events, there is a lot to look forward to now that Season 5 has started. But as we know, players will always have one eye on what's coming next. With that in mind, here, we will go over what is happening in Season 5 of Overwatch 2.

Here's a look at your Season 5 launch trailer for Overwatch 2.
Players will be able to embark on a mythic adventure to defeat the Demon Lord through a reimagined Battle Pass, experience Mythic Skin Progression as you unlock all three stages of Mythic Adventurer Tracer, and earn rewards in brand new ways with Questwatch.
There's also a new prop hunt game mode coming, titled Mischief and Magic. Further on in the season, players can expect the return of the Summer Games event.
Blizzard has released a full blog post detailing all the upcoming changes.

Although Overwatch 2 Season 5 isn't scheduled to start until June 13, we could potentially see more of the game this week... maybe.
Summer Games Fest starts Thursday and the Xbox and Bethesda showcase is on Sunday evening, so we wouldn't rule out a potential trailer reveal to hype up the start of the next season. Keep those eyes peeled for more info later this week...
When Does Season 5 Of Overwatch 2 Launch?
Update - Season 5 is now playable for Overwatch 2
When it comes to the seasons of Overwatch 2, Blizzard has made it pretty clear the schedule for each season and how long they will last. Having a clear indication of each season allows players to plan out how they intend to play the season. After all, there is only so much time to complete the battle pass for each season of the game.
With that being said, Season 5 of Overwatch 2 is now available for everyone to play. There are plenty of different events that are going to be happening throughout this season of Overwatch 2.
What Is Coming To Season 5 Of Overwatch 2?
UPDATE - The Overwatch 2 Roadmap has been confirmed and it includes plenty of details of what to expect from Season 5. Here's a quick overview:

• Questwatch - A New Limited-Time Event
• Cinematic Reveal
• Overwatch Summer Games Event
• 5v5 Mini Comp Season
• On Fire Returns
• Creator Workshop Mode
Players have a lot to look forward to during Season 5 of Overwatch 2. There are going to be a lot of different game modes and returning events throughout this season. For example, Defeat The Demon Lord is a game mode where four heroes must work together to take down an all-powerful Demon Reinhardt.
On July 11th, the Summer Games Event makes a return. During this event, the new Winston's Beach Volleyball game mode will make its debut on top of the Lucio Ball game mode that players know and love. Another game mode that players can look forward to is the Prop Hunt Game where players disguise themselves as props and their opponents try to find them.
