Announced on Wednesday (20 November), DPS Jun-ki “Yaki” Kim and support player Nam-jin “Gangnamjin” Gang will be joining the Overwatch 2020 team.
The two players are from South Korean Contenders team RunAway, who together won the Contenders Major in September. They finished as a runner-up and third place in more recent tournaments.
Speaking about the acquisition on Twitter, Yaki wrote: “I’m glad to join Mayhem this season. I won’t let down our fans.”

Prior to RunAway, Yaki also played for XL2 Academy and MVP Space after entering the Overwatch scene in 2016.
The two players join Florida Mayhem which is entirely comprised of South Korean players, including Jeongwoo “Sayaplayer” Ha, Junsoo “Kris” Choi, Sangbum “BQB” Lee, Panseung “Fate” Koo, Seongjoo “Byrem” Lee, Beom-jun “Gargoyle” Lee, and San-ha “Karayan” Choi.
