The bc-153 error in Overwatch 2 is a server error. It means either the game's servers are under maintenance or the servers are overloaded. In this case, the latter is likely to be the case since a lot of players are currently experiencing insanely long queues.

Since it's an issue from Activision Blizzard's side, there's not much you can do here except wait. However, there are a few steps that we recommend you try before losing all hope.

First things first, we recommend checking your internet connection. For multiplayer games, a wired connection is preferred. You may also want to change the server. You may get a high ping if you're sitting in the US and playing the game on an Asian server.

However, this approach is far better than not getting in the game at all. On PC, you can change your server region in the battle.net app. For consoles, unfortunately, there's no option to change the server in the game.

You can always quit and restart the game. Many players have reported they beat the queue just by switching off Overwatch 2 and starting it again.

These are some of the ways you could try to fix the bc-153 error in Overwatch 2.

Unfortunately, there's no concrete way to fix this since this issue exists from Activision and Blizzard's side. We will, however, update this article if Activision Blizzard reveals an official fix for this error.
