Are Overwatch 2 Servers Down?

First up, it is essential to note that the original Overwatch servers went down for the final time at roughly 09:00 PDT on 3rd October 2022.

Following the shutdown of these servers, Overwatch 2 launched on 4th October 2022, at approximately noon PDT time.

Unfortunately, players continue to experience connection issues and long queue times. This is partly due to two DDOS attacks in the first 24 hours of launch.

At the time of writing, the Overwatch 2 servers are operational but unstable.

First up, the official Overwatch 2 forum has an announcement section where the developers update players. There's also the Battle.net support page which shows when maintenance occurs for multiple titles or if there are any issues, as per the image above.

Gamers can also check the official Overwatch Twitter account for any possible announcements of unexpected server downtime or outages. 

Lastly, you can use the third-party DownDetector page for Overwatch to see if users are experiencing connection issues. You can also report your issues via this page.
