Developer Singularity 6 released their latest Dev Update blog post, outlining the contents of the next patch update for their cozy MMO, Palia. The 0.180 patch update, which the developer has yet to confirm its release date, has been cited as the "Economy Update," in which a number of changes will reshape and maintain the health of the game's economic system.

Additionally, the aforementioned patch update, which we detailed in the Dev Update blog post, includes a few exciting additions, including more Housing additions and new permanent features. Furthermore, a few more details regarding the 0.180 patch update weren't mentioned in the Dev Update blog post, as they have been withheld for the subsequent patch notes.

The next patch update for the cozy MMO Palia has been labeled as the "Economy Update" by the developer, which sees a host of changes affecting the game's economy. According to the developer in their latest Dev Update post, "We also want Palians to feel that your time spent in the game is properly rewarded, no matter what activity you engage in," as the developer felt they may have "missed the mark."

Players can expect changes moving forward, starting with the 0.180 patch update, central to where they can earn Gold and how Gold is spent in-game. As such, several game aspects have been "tuned" to best reflect these changes, which should see them earning more Gold while at the same time "having recipe requirements and gold costs reduced."

They will now be able to earn Gold more efficiently across multiple areas as these "sources will be more evenly distributed" and from active skills such as Bug Catching, Fishing, Foraging, andHunting with Gold earned from Mining to be reduced. Aside from gaining more Gold from areas and skills, Gold received from quests and found within treasure chests will also be improved, as these chests will also contain "better rewards to help out new players as they explore."

Additional economy changes to be implemented in the 0.180 patch update will increase Renown limited, which is currently capped at 1,000 Renown. Likewise, the sell values for Uncommon, Rare, and Legendary items have been adjusted due to the changes in Gold earned across multiple skills, which should see players getting more Gold in their pockets.

The 0.180 update will also include changes to the Housing system, including reduced building times for multiple add-ons. Progressing with the Furniture-Making skill should also see players earning Building Add-ons as rewards at certain milestones.

Similarly, Building Blocks allows players to craft unique structures and new paver options, and the Grand Harvest House will be added in the update. New Premium Store offers arriving to add more variety to what is currently available, including new Tool Skins, which come in three variants: Empyreal, Leafy Weave, and Spring Sakura.

A new pet is coming soon to Palia, as players will be introduced to the Flutterfox pet, which will be available in five unique types: Autumn, Leafy, Spring, Summer, and Winter. Lastly, the Hotpot mini-game from the Maji Market: Luna New Year event will become a permanent gameplay feature, and it will be found somewhere in Kilima Village.
