A savvy businessman who holds all his cards close to his chest, Zeki has kept his private life away from most Villagers, like his “illegal” running of the Underground Black Market. As he doesn’t reveal much about his personal life, preferring to give players some business advice, it takes center stage in the Better Days Found Item quest.

Not much is known about his family or relationship with them, but a mysterious toy appears in Bahari Bay that catches Zeki off guard. Spring into action and help Zeki retrieve a personal belonging of his by following the quest objectives below and learning how to complete the Better Days Found Item quest in Palia.

Zeki certainly has some better days, given that he has few established businesses and secretly runs the Underground Black Market away from Eshe’s prying eyes. But more personal matters are what Zeki fondly recalls in this Found Item quest, Better Days, in which players can begin by finding a quest-related item somewhere in the world.

They will help Zeki retrieve a missing item and letter once they’ve progressed with this quest to better understand his relationship with a close family member. Help Zeki find the missing items and assist him in reminiscing those better days by following the quest objectives to complete it in Palia:

How To Complete The Better Days Found Item Quest In Palia?

Better Days is a Found Item quest that can be triggered after players find a chewed Cat Toy inside the ruins at the Windy Ruins location in Bahari Bay. They can return to Kilima Village to find who this adorable mouse plushie belongs to, which should be easy to determine based on the toy’s appearance.

Zeki can be found at his General Store during the day, at Ormuu’s Horn Inn in the evenings, and the Underground Black Market at night. After explaining how they found this toy to Zeki, players will learn that his mother has discovered his “drop spot,” but without a letter informing him of this, they are to find a letter sent from his mother somewhere in Bahari Bay.

This letter can be fished anywhere along the Bahari Bay Coast, from Coral Shores to Beachcomber Cove, with or without bait. Once they’ve retrieved the Letter in a Bottle, they can read it before safely returning to Zeki at his current location.

Return to Zeki to deliver the Letter in a Bottle, which he’ll ask if they had read the letter his mother had written to him. As we opted not to read it, we responded that we didn’t read it all out of respect for his privacy, which completes this Found Item quest, and they’ll improve their Friendship with Zeki plus receive a Lucky Coin as a token of thanks from Zeki.

Palia is currently available via the Epic Games Store and in Open Beta for PC, as players can install the game launcher detailed in this guide. The game is now available to download for Nintendo Switch as of 14th December 2023.
