Palia Up In The Air Quest And Walkthrough

The third act, into the finale of the Prologue quest, has Subira pick up another lead, directing her and Palians to the Temple of the Gales. This temple is unlocked at the start of the Silver-winging It quest, which must be completed so they can again access the temple for the Up in the Air quest.

This time, they'll rely on the mythical Silverwings for clues to solve a mysterious riddle and gain some exquisite rewards to keep. This sky-high guide provides all the objectives required for this quest and a walkthrough to complete the Up in the Air quest for Palia.

Palia Up In The Air Quest Objectives List

The third quest in the latest batch of quests added in the v0.186 update involves the Temple of the Gales located at the Windy Ruins southeast of the Ancient Aqueduct in Bahari Bay. As they continue their investigations into the identity of this mysterious "intruder" while determining what the Cosmos Protocol is, they'll find more information about what the "intruder" may be looking for.

The investigation mainly takes place on the first island from the temple foyer; they'll use the clues left behind by the Silverwings and the intruder to solve riddles to where the Prologue questline ends. With that said, we've provided the objectives to follow and complete for the Up in the Air quest for Palia:

• Enter the Temple of the Gales
  • Talk to Subira in the temple
• Find the console room in the Temple of the Gales
• Speak with Subira again (optional)
• Read the inscription on the console door
• Find enough Silverwing Eggs to satisfy the riddle
• Open the mysterious pack

How To Complete The Up In The Air Quest In Palia?

In the final moments of the Into the Fire quest, Subira revealed that she picked up yet another clue: that the trail has headed towards the Temple of the Gales. As Palians are still in Bahari Bay, the quest ends, and they'll be teleported out of the Temple of the Flames, where they can head to the nearest Stable Board at the Outskirts and fast travel to the Beachcomber Cove Stable Board.

Once they've arrived at the Beachcomber Cove Stable Board, turn around and make their towards the geyser before heading towards the temple at Windy Ruins. Enter the ruins and speak to Subira near the foyer; she informs them that either the intruder is still inside the temple or was there relatively recently, and they are prompted to investigate the area.

They make their way to the upper section of the temple, where they can find Subira to the left of the main Silverwing nest and speaking to her, she gives Palians a clue on where to start their investigations. There's a trail of dark-colored Silverwing feathers leading them west from the main Silverwing nest, and they will need the Glider to get across using the air vents.

This trail leads them to a door that houses the next console; however, they must solve a riddle to unlock it. The riddle reads as follows:

Two silver birds I went to seek
And then observed for two long weeks.
The first laid two eggs every dawn.
Her daughter every night laid one.
But both to the sky did take,
When a two-egg omelette I did make.

By doing the math, the first Silverwing laid 28 eggs over the two weeks, and her daughter laid 14 eggs over the same period, totaling 42 eggs. However, the person used the eggs to make a "two-egg omelette" meaning there are 40 Silverwing eggs remaining which they need to find this amount somewhere within the Temple of the Gales.

They can find some clues at a makeshift campsite nearby; however, they can continue following the trail of Silverwing feathers that leads them to a smaller temple where they previously solved a puzzle during the temple questline. Once inside, they'll find a mysterious backpack that is added to the Quest pouch, and opening the backpack grants them a few Starstones, the Mysterious Journal, and 40 Silverwing eggs.

Proceed to read the Journal pages, which detailed the gear they needed for this trip, details on a "cure" that the Humans are aware of, their experiences inside the Temple of the Waves and Flames, and a note that they're being followed. It also revealed that 40 Silverwing eggs are needed to unlock the door as they can report to Subira on their latest discoveries.

While speaking with her, she asks them to turn over the clues they've collected, and they can either decide to hand over all the clues or keep the Starstones and Gold but give her the remaining clues. Whatever they choose to do here, they can proceed to place the eggs inside the nest by the door, which unlocks the door, and heading inside, they'll find the next console.

Interact with the console, where they can read the User Logs, Messages, and Protocols, where it also reveals that the Cosmos Protocol was disengaged. There's also a drafted message that states that the Temple of the Gales has lost power, which needs to be fixed, and asks if there's any hope in light of this catastrophe.

After investigating the console, they can reconvene with Subira, where she states that the logs indicate that they have escaped once again and informs them that the Temple of the Roots is the final destination. This completes the Up in the Air quest as they'll receive 15 Renown, the Rooted in Place quest, and will be teleported out of the Temple of the Gales.
