What Is A Music Box In Phasmophobia?

The Music Box is a Cursed Possession, meaning that it cannot be bought from the store and can instead be found in certain ghost-hunting expeditions. Each time you head out in your van, there's a 1/6 chance the Cursed Possession will end up being a Music Box. The Music Box can be used to make ghosts sing, but you'll need to be careful while using it, as using it incorrectly is prone to triggering a hunt.

How To Use A Music Box In Phasmophobia

To use the Music Box in Phasmophobia you'll first need to find it and pick it up. Next, you'll need to activate it, which can be done by right-clicking while you're holding the Music Box. It will then begin to play a song which will cause the ghost to sing for you. If you listen and follow the voice, you'll be able to find the ghost's current room. You can only use the Music Box once.

While using the Music Box and listening to its song, your sanity will drastically go down, so it's important to monitor your sanity and head back to the van temporarily if it's getting too low. You should also avoid turning on the Music Box within a very short distance of the ghost, as this will trigger a cursed hunt. If you throw the Music Box - or the ghost does - while the song is playing, this will also trigger a cursed hunt.

You can probably tell it's pretty risky to use the Music Box, so pay careful attention to when and where you use it to keep your team safe!
