Pokémon GO’s Valentine’s Day event is starting soon as Trainers are gearing up to encounter debuting Pokémon, new raid encounters, and countless rewards to earn. This event also adds new Field and Timed Research tasks, which you’ll earn additional encounters with various Pokémon.

Furfrou returns as the Normal-type Pokémon will bring alongside the Heart Trim form made available for this event. Here’s how you can get the Heart Trim Furfrou in Pokémon GO.

How To Get The Furfrou Heart Trim In Pokémon GO?

The Normal-type Pokémon may not have an evolution family, but it can change the appearance of its luscious and fluffy fur coat. Like the Vivillon patterns, Furfrou has ten distinctive trims that can be changed in-game through the form-changing mechanic.

This can be achieved once you’ve caught a Natural Trim Furfrou, which is required for this process to be completed, and you’ll need to give it 25 Furfrou Candy and 10,000 Stardust. As it stands, Furfrou can be changed from Natural Trim to nine different Trims, including the next Trim to be made available, the Heart Trim.

To acquire the Heart Trim Furfrou (and any other Furfrou available to your region) can follow the steps outlined below:

1. From your Inventory or Bag Storage, browse to find Natural Trim Furfrou and tap on the Pokémon
2. At the bottom of the page, tap the “Form Change” button, which brings up a menu of available Trims
3. Select the Heart Trim and pay 25 Furfrou Candy and 10,000 Stardust
4. The Heart Trim Furfrou will be added to your Pokédex

Each Furfrou Trim is geographically locked, as certain regions and territories will see a specific Furfrou Trim spawning more frequently. Only the Natural, Dandy, Matron, and Heart Trims are available to all trainers globally, as we’ve detailed below:

According to Niantic, Trainers can encounter Natural Trim Furfrou during the Valentine’s Day event between the 8th and 14th of February 2023. Natural Trim Furfrou can be encountered more frequently in the wild and one-star Raids.
